Tell Your Story – Uw Verhaal
We must record Dutch immigration history – collect the stories of those Nederlanders who came out here in the 1950s and 1960s. We willen uw verhaal documenteren! Before that history is lost forever.
The NetherlanNZ Foundation has collected a number of stories in an Oral History project. The Dutch Connection has done the same.
But there are many more personal tales of hardship, achievement and joy we must collect! Yours?

As Ons Museum, we absolutely have a duty to record Dutch history in New Zealand. For now, we’re focusing on the Ans Westra photos and interviews.
But there is much more work to do, and we can’t do it all ourselves. We simply don’t have the resources to interview everybody we’d like to talk to. Right now we must focus on getting our Museum Centre built.
