Oranjehof is your Dutch Connection Centre. A place for a great many things that are Nederlands in Nieuw Zeeland. But above all - it is een plek to connect with our project to build ons nationaal Museum Centrum. Right next to iconic windmill De Molen, in Foxton. A place for Dutch Kiwis and everybody else.
The Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage finds our project - together with local Maori and Council - so important that they gifted us a grant worth over $1 million. We've made it easy to you contribute too, on Give a Little.
In Oranjehof, we'll tell our story - ons verhaal - from Abel Tasman's first encounter with the Maori, to today. We'll also offer our visitors the very best in art, science, tastes and culture that's created or inspired by 'Nederlanders' - uit Nieuw Zeeland en Nederland. This will be a place where everybody can have family and community fun. Where visitors can find inspiration and new knowledge. Have a cup of koffie and find lots of Dutch-ness.
